1. U.S. Embassy Brazzaville will move to a New Embassy
Compound (NEC) over the period January 16-19, 2009. Post
provides the following information regarding this
transition.
2. MOVE DATES: The Existing Office Building (EOB) will
be
closed for the move as of 16:30 local (16:30 UST) on
Thursday, January 15 and will remain closed through
January 19, 2009. We will reopen for business on
Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 07:30 local time in the
NEC.
3. CONTACT NUMBERS: During the move period the Embassy
may be contacted as follow:
Deputy Chief of Mission 242 - 530 - 9436
Management Officer 242 - 525 - 7387
Regional Security Officer 242 - 526 - 3556
Information Mgt Officer 242 - 777 - 0020
Note: Post has no Marine Guards.
5. Post's unclassified communication systems which
include Telegraphic/OpenNet and IVG applications will be
taken off line at 19:00 hrs. Thursday, January 15,
2009. Those services should be restored as follows:
A) Record unclassified traffic and OpenNet should return
to normal at approximately 08:00 hrs. Tuesday, January
20, 2009.
B) The IVG circuits should return to normal at
approximately 08:00 hrs. Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
5. ClassNet application is anticipated to be online as
of 08:00 hrs. Tuesday, January 20, 2009
6. ADDRESS OF NEW EMBASSY COMPOUND:
A) The pouch address for employee mail is unchanged.
B) STREET ADDRESS FOR DELIVERY OF DHL
