1. (U) This is an action message.
2. (U) The U.S. data submission for the Global Exchange of
Military Information (GEMI) has been prepared for
distribution to all OSCE participating States. DTRA rep will
hand carry hard and soft copies of the data to Vienna.
Mission is requested to distribute the U.S. GEMI data by
April 30. Mission is also requested to provide an electronic
copy of the U.S. GEMI data to the OSCE Documents Distribution
Unit in accordance with FSC Decision 17/07.
3. Washington requests that Mission report on the results of
the GEMI annual exchange, including a summary of which
countries submit data. Any questions about the U.S. data
should be relayed back to Washington. We understand U.S.
experts organizing the data exchange workshop will bring back
copies of data exchanged by the other OSCE participants for
further distribution in Washington.
