See paragraphs 2 - 4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 050130006 for the export of ammunition to Peru. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for Request: The initial export license request was for ".223 REM (5.56mm)" ammunition. PM/DDTC amended the request to remove 5.56mm ammunition, which PM/DDTC does not/not approve for commercial resale overseas. This request is to confirm that the end-user received .223 caliber ammunition and not/not 5.56mm ammunition. ¶4. Action Request: Post is requested to verify that end-user Armaq S.A. (Tel: 511-221-7192) received .223 caliber ammunition and not/not 5.56mm ammunition. In its reply, Post may also comment on any information pertinent to this transaction such as security of facilities, end-use, and concerns about the entities involved. ¶5.
