This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2 - 4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on licenses 05-950130 and 050025433 for the export of sound and flash suppressors to the United Arab Emirates. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to these licenses. ¶3. Reason for Request: These licenses are for a significant quantity of sound and flash suppressors. Post is requested to verify that the suppressors were received and are being used by the UAE Armed Forces Special Operations Command only. ¶4. Action Request: Post is requested to make appropriate inquiries to representatives of the UAE Armed Forces Special Operations Command to verify that all the suppressors listed below were received and are being used by that agency only. The following points are included for guidance: (To the UAE Armed Forces Special Operations Command) --Can you confirm the order and receipt of all the sound and flash suppressors listed on these license applications? --Can you confirm that all the sound and flash suppressors listed below are in the possession of and being used by the UAE Armed Forces Special Operations Command only? In its reply, Post may also comment on any other information pertinent to these transactions such as security of facilities, end-use, and concerns about the entities involved. ¶5.
