This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2-4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a post-shipment end-use check on license numbers 050098833 and 050121173 for the export of defense hardware to the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern inquiry within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to these transactions. ¶3. Reason for Request: To confirm the bona fides of the licensed transactions. ¶4. Action Abu Dhabi: Department requests that Post make inquiries to determine whether or not the U.A.E. Armed Forces, Logistics Staff received the United States Munitions List (USML) items for the purpose stated on the licenses. End Request. ¶5.
