(U) This cable responds to the action request in reftel requesting human rights vetting for the candidates nominated to attend the Center of Excellence for Stability Police Units (COESPU) in Vicenza, Italy beginning on January 18, 2010. ¶2. (U) The Department of State has vetted the individuals listed in reftel and possesses no credible derogatory information as of 12/23/2009. Post is authorized to include the following individuals in USG-funded training: (1) NAME: Desimir Miketic D/POB: 08/17/1967, Pec, Kosovo GENDER: Male TITLE: Colonel, Department for Operational Telecommunication ORGANIZATION: Service for Combating Organized Crime NATIONALITY: Serbian (2) NAME: Martin Brajdic D/POB: 06/27/1980, Belgrade, Serbia GENDER: Male TITLE: Sergeant, Police Officer ORGANIZATION: Gendarmerie NATIONALITY: Serbian (3) NAME: Nebojsa Dordevic D/POB: 10/02/1985, Indjija, Serbia GENDER: Male TITLE: Sergeant, Police Officer ORGANIZATION: Special Antiterrorist Unit NATIONALITY: Serbian ¶3. (U) Post is permitted to provide the following statement to authorized parties: Embassy verifies that the Department of State possesses no credible information of gross violations of human rights by the individuals identified above, as of 12/23/2009.
