1. The Department authorizes USDEL to join consensus on the
Chair's text entitled "Follow-up to the Fourth World
Conference on Women and full implementation of the Beijing
Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome of the
twenty-third special session of the General Assembly",
provided that the resolution text does not change
significantly from the wording contained in REFTEL to
negatively affect vital U.S. interests.
