This is an Action Request. See paragraphs 2-4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 050147620 for the export of International Traffic in Arms (ITAR)-controlled turret harnesses and logic laser harnesses to Colombia. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern inquiry within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern inquiry will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for request: To verify the bona fides of Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. (Rafael ADS) in the transaction; to ensure all parties to the transaction have been identified. ¶4. ACTION TEL AVIV: The Department requests that Post make inquiries to determine if foreign consignee Rafael ADS both received the harnesses and exported them to end-user the Colombian Air Force. ACTION BOGOTA: The Department requests that Post make inquiries with appropriate officials to determine if the Colombian Air Force received the harnesses listed below and that the articles are being used for the purpose stated on the license. Post should confirm with the Colombian Air Force its relationship with foreign consignee Rafael ADS. END ACTION. ¶5.
