(S) MFA will share with appropriate GOS agencies the reftel
information regarding the four individuals the United States
would like added to the UN Security Council 1267 Sanctions
Committee list of individuals subject to UNSCR sanctions,
Jacob Anthony Chew, desk officer for the MFA International
Organization Directorate, told Econoff January 16. He
expressed appreciation for being informed ahead of the actual
request. Chew could not provide information on any actions
the GOS might take against the individuals, but indicated
that he would keep us informed of any such action. Post will
report any additional information we receive from the GOS.
