Singapore will not put forth a position on the development of
guidelines for labeling of genetically modified food at the upcoming
session of the Codex Committee on Food Labeling in Calgary (see
reftel). Ms. SEAH Huay Leng, Assistant Director of the Food Control
Division of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority, told Econoff
that Singapore would also not send a delegation to the session.
