SUBJECT: NO ROK DECISION YET ON U.S. CANDIDATE FOR ICSC
(SBU) PolOff delivered reftel demarche on 10/26 to Park
Eun-ju of MOFAT's United Nations Division, seeking ROKG
support for the election of Lucretia Myers to the
International Civil Service Commission (ICSC). Park informed
us that MOFAT was aware of the Myers nomination but related
that the ROKG had not yet made a final decision about
supporting the candidacy. Park said she would make sure the
ROK UN Mission in New York had a copy of Myers' CV.
