1. (U) Poloff contacted Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) MFA's
Head of the Department for UN and Other International
Organizations, Ms. Sanja Kenig-Corovic, regarding USG
candidacy for the UN Human Rights Council on April 1. Ms.
Kenig-Corovic had no substantive response to the talking
points provided, but advised that BiH's disposition toward a
U.S. candidacy was favorable.
2. (U) Ambassador subsequently met with FM Sven Alkalaj on
April 3, and delivered reftel points. In response to the
question of BiH support for the U.S. candidacy, FM Alkalaj
said simply "granted." BiH will support the U.S. candidacy
for the UN Human Rights Council.
