1. (U) Post demarched Sanja Kenig-Corovic, Head of Bosnian
MFA Department for the UN and other International
Organizations, on October 23. Kenig-Corovic was able to
provide several substantive responses related to demarche
points, as discussed below.
2. (U) "No-action motions": Bosnia concurs with the U.S.
assessment of no-action motions, and plans to oppose their
use.
3. (U) Country-specific resolutions: Kenig-Corovic said
Bosnia has a track record of joining in support of the
country resolutions discussed. Specifically, Bosnia expects
to support Canada's Iran resolution, and did so last year.
On Burma and DPRK, Bosnia expects to join any resolution that
is supported as a common EU position, and believes itself to
be duty-bound to do so.
4. (U) Elections resolution: Assuming the text of the
resolution is substantively the same as the traditional one,
Bosnia plans to support.
5. (U) OIC "defamation of religions" resolution: Bosnia is
likely to abstain, given the complexity of debate on the
matter.
