¶B. SECSTATE 68590
¶1. (SBU) The information below updates Ref A information and
is keyed to Ref B format regarding Bosnia's representation at
the 64th UN General Assembly (UNGA):
¶A. Attendance of the Head of State:
-- Zeljko Komsic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and
Herzegovina will attend along with the two other members of
the Tri-Presidency, Haris Silajdzic and Nebojsa Radmanovic.
-- Arrival and Departure dates to and from New York are
anticipated to be September 20-28. We understand that three
members of the Tri-Presidency will attend the General Debate
and that President Komsic will deliver remarks on behalf of
the Tri-Presidency.
-- Mrs. Komsic, Mrs. Silajdzic, and Mrs. Radmanovic are
not/not planning to travel to New York.
-- Interpretation in Bosnian would be required in a bilateral
or multilateral meeting with Komsic or Radmanovic but not/not
for Silajdzic.
¶B. Attendance of the Head of Government:
-- Prime Minister Nikola Spiric is not/not planning to attend
UNGA.
¶C. Attendance of the Foreign Minister:
-- Sven Alkalaj, Foreign Minister will attend.
-- Arrival and Departure dates to and from New York are
anticipated to be September 20-28. Minister Alkalaj plans to
attend the General Debate.
-- Mrs. Alkalaj will not/not travel to UNGA.
-- Interpretation will not/not be required in bilateral or
multilateral meetings.
¶D. Attendance of other VIPs to UNGA:
-- It is not yet determined whether other VIPs plan to attend
UNGA.
¶E. Attendance of the Head of the MFA's IO Department:
-- Ambassador Mladen Prica will represent the MFA's IO
Department.
-- Arrival and Departure dates to and from New York are
anticipated to be September 20-28.
-- Mrs. Prica will not/not travel to UNGA.
-- Interpretation will not/not be required in bilateral or
multilateral meetings.
