Editorial in center-right O Estado de S. Paulo (7-29) states:
"....If [attempts at] cooperation fail between the Americans and
Chinese, the cost will be very high for both sides and U.S. economic
adjustments will be more drastic than it would have been under other
conditions. If this adjustment takes place during the crisis
convalescence, the price imposed on other countries, including
Brazil, will be high....."
