¶1. (U) Embassy received on August 13, 2009 a diplomatic note
from the Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs seeking the
USG's support for the Dominican Republic's candidacy to the
United Nations Economic and Social Council for the 2013-15
period. The elections will take place during the 67th
session of the UN General Assembly in 2012.
