1. (U) Post has received Diplomatic Note 2934 from the GoDR
notifying that Aerolinea Pan Am World Airways Dominicana, C.
por A. (PAWA Dominicana) has been designated by the Civil
Aviation Board to provide regular commercial air
transportation service between the Dominican Republic and the
United States. The translated text of Diplomatic Note 2934
follows in para 2.


2. (U) The Secretary of State of Foreign Relations greets
the Embassy of the United States of AMERICA and informs it
that the Government of the Dominican Republic, through the
authorities of the Civil Aviation Board, has designated
Aerolinea Pan Am World Airways Dominicana, C. por A. (PAWA
Dominicana),as an airline to provide regular commercial air
transportation service between the Dominican Republic and the
United States of America, in accordance with that which is
established in the Air Transportation Accord subscribed
between the two countries on July 19, 1949. (protocol closing)
