Per reftel request, US Embassy Santo Domingo confirms that INSTRAW
is located in the Dominican Republic. INSTRAW provided post with a
mailing list including 25 civil society organizations, 55
organizations that promote women's rights or empowerment, and three
academic institutions with which INSTRAW is in contact. INSTRAW
officials, being well aware of the annual reftel request, provided
assurances that, as an agency focused on the advancement of women,
it does not accept pedophilia. Accordingly, INSTRAW does not grant
any official status, accreditation, or recognition to any
organization that promotes or condones or seeks the legalization of
pedophilia or has any subsidiaries or member organizations that do.
