Poloff delivered reftel demarche September 16 to Ignacio Llanos,
head of the Foreign Ministry's Office of United Nations Affairs.
Llanos said that the Foreign Ministry was aware of the meeting but
had not yet confirmed whether a Chilean representative--likely
Foreign Minister Mariano Fernandez or Director General for Foreign
Affairs Roberto Ibarra--could attend. (Note: Roberto Ibarra is
the #3 official at the Foreign Ministry. End note.) Llanos added
that Francisco del Campo (fdelcampo at chile.un.org) of Chile's
Mission to the UN was in charge of coordinating the Chilean
delegation's schedule.
