(SBU) EPOL staff verified the legitimacy of the sale of A-37B aircraft parts to the Logistic Command of the Chilean Air Force. EPOL called Logistic Command and spoke to Lt. Col. Alexis Rivas, who confirmed the receipt of the aircraft parts on March 24 of this year. However, Post notes that while this Blue Lantern request was sent as a "post-license pre-shipment" check, the Chilean Air Force reports it has already received the aircraft parts in question. ¶2. (SBU) Lt. Col. Rivas sent the Embassy copies of the Purchase Order (#200811047); HDR Aeronautical Invoice (#020112); HDR Aeronautical Packing Slip (#000010); and UTi Warehouse Receipt (#104785). Cross check of items, part numbers and USD values confirmed that the transaction is legitimate. SIMONS
