1. (SBU) On July 25, POLOFF informed Ms. Najwa al-Serri,
First Secretary and the terrorist combating officer at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA),of the United Nations
designations of Arif Qasmani, Mohammad Yahya Mujahid, and
Fazeel-A-Tul Shaykh Abu Mohammed Ameen al-Peshawari, as well
as the U.S. designation of Nasir Javaid, as terrorists.
PolOff reiterated the ROYG's obligation to freeze all assets
and to impose a travel ban and an arms embargo per reftel
demarche. Serri confirmed that all UN and U.S.-designated
terrorists' identifying information would be passed to the
Yemeni Central Bank. Serri could not confirm that action
would be taken on U.S.-designated terrorist Javaid.
