1. (U) On April 30, Econoff delivered the requested demarche
on Italy's Special 301 review. The demarche was delivered to
Fabrizio Mazza, head of the Intellectual Property Office at
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mazza said he found the
criticism to be fair said he was appreciative of the
recognition of the work Italy has done and is currently doing
on intellectual property rights protection.
