OF INSTRUMENTS OF RATIFICATION FOR ENTRY INTO FORCE

On December 16 Embassy Rome and the Italian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs (MFA) conducted subject ceremony and executed
the exchange of Instruments of Ratification, thereby bringing
into effect the subject double taxation treaty. Signing the
corresponding Protocol of Exchange on behalf of the USG was
Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs George White.
Signing for Italy was the Director of the MFA's Treaty Office
who expressed his great satisfaction, on the eve of his
retirement, in having conducted his last official act in the
company of US counterparts. Post has forwarded Italy's
Instrument of Ratification to Department via FedEx, attn
Michelle Cannon.
