SUMMARY. Senior officials in the GOI offer enthusiastic support for Secretary Clinton's "Partnering for Food Security: Moving Forward" proposal. END SUMMARY. ¶2. On October 22, ECONOFF delivered Secretary Clinton's cover letter and "Partnering for Food Security: Moving Forward" proposal to Franco Frattini, the Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs. The following day, the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) delivered a copy of those documents to Luca Zaia, the Italian Minister for Agriculture. ¶3. On November 3, Minister Frattini's office stated that the GOI is in complete agreement with all points and will support the "Partnering for Food Security: Moving Forward" proposal at the November 16-18 World Food Summit. ¶4.
