¶1. Agriculture Officer met with GCC representatives February
16 to discuss ref food import regulations. The GCC Food
Safety Committee is awaiting a report from the Saudi Food and
Drug Administration (SFDA) which will be presented during a
committee meeting in Dubai February 21-23. Econoff reached
out to several counterparts at other Embassies in Riyadh,
none of whom had engaged the Saudis regarding the proposed
new GCC food import procedures.
