(U) Poloff contacted Abdullah Al-Sheikh, the SAG
representative to the IMO, to follow up on ref A demarche
requesting Saudi support for U.S. re-election to the
International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council on November

15. Al-Sheikh said that the SAG would support the U.S.
candidacy for election to Class 'A' within the council if the
U.S. would support the SAG candidacy for Class 'C'.
