Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs
TO: Ambassador at Large Daniel S. Benjamin
Coordinator for Counterterrorism, Department of State
Greetings,
It was with total gratitude that I received the words
expressed in your letter dated September 2, 2009 in the wake
of the failed assassination attempt. Your letter encompassed
much appreciated sentiments of sincerity.
Despite all these attempts, we are determined to press
forward in our war on terror and its funding. What has
occurred will only make us more persistent in exerting
greater efforts and will boost our incentive to strengthen
cooperation in ways that serve the mutual interests of both
our allied countries and peoples. I look forward to meeting
with you to discuss security issues of common interest.
Please accept my sincerest regards.
Respectfully yours,
Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz
Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs
