Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Ministry of Interior
Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs
TO: Ambassador William Burns
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs
Greetings,
It was with total gratitude that I received the words
expressed in your letter dated August 29, 2009 on the heels
of the failed assassination attempt. Your letter encompassed
much appreciated sentiments of sincerity.
Despite all these attempts, we are determined to press
forward in our war on terror and its funding. What occurred
will only make us more persistent in exerting greater efforts
and will boost our incentive to bolster cooperation in ways
that serve the mutual interests of both our allied countries
and peoples.
Please accept my sincerest regards.
Respectfully yours,
Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz
Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs
