regarding Pakistan's internally displaced persons (IDPs). He
noted that his office is currently preparing briefings for
Prime Minister Fischer regarding Afghanistan and Pakistan for
the EU leaders' discussion at the June 18-19 European Council
and he welcomed any additional details or insights we wanted
to provide in advance of this Council. Basta noted that the
Czech Republic shares our concerns about the IDPs and will
provide assistance (Ref C).
