Czech MFA Asia Pacific Department Director Jiri Sitler
thanked emboff for points on Pakistan's burgeoning problems
with internally displaced persons (IDPs). He noted on May 21
that the Czech Republic shares our concerns and will
contribute 5M crowns (approximately 250,000 USD) in
assistance for the IDPs in Pakistan. Sitler noted, however,
that the Czechs are still finalizing the paperwork regarding
the timing and delivery of this assistance (likely to be done
via either the ICRC or the UNHCR).
