GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

(SBU) On October 14, CDA delivered reftel points to
Ambassador Patrice Cure, Head of Multilateral Directorate -
Political, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration
and International Trade. CDA emphasized the possibility of
Mauritius sending peacekeepers for regional conflicts (an
issue that Post has raised on numerous occasions in recent
months). Cure asked the CDA to resend a list of current UN
peacekeeping operations requiring police services. Cure had
no substantive response regarding other reftel points.
