Commission Demarche to Azad Belfort, Director of
International Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on
October 23. Belfort indicated that Haiti was inclined to
vote for the US candidate, Ms. Myers, but would not confirm.
He noted that USG support for Haiti's candidate to the
Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Matters, Jean
Wesley Cazeau, would guarantee Haiti's support for Ms. Myers.
