1. Post received April 20 a diplomatic note dated April 15
requesting U.S. support for Jean Wesley Cazeau, Haiti's
candidate for the UN Advisory Committee on Administrative and
Budgetary Questions, during this year's UN General Assembly.
An informal EMBASSY translation of the diplomatic note
follows.
2. Begin diplomatic note text:
(Complimentary opening) ...notes that the Haitian government
has decided to present as its candidate Jean Wesley Cazeau
for the UN Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary
Questions (Comite Consultatif des Nations Unies pour les
questions administratives et budgetaires) for the 2010-2012
term during the elections which will take place in New York
in September 2009 as part of the 64th Ordinary Session of the
UN General Assembly.
The Ministry would greatly appreciate the support of the
United States for this candidate.
