¶1. (U) On November 17, EconOff delivered the message to Tom
Kartoebi, Acting Head of the Americas Division in the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. Kartoebi indicated that he would forward the
information to "all relevant" entities, including the Ministry of
Trade and Industry; the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry,
and Fisheries; and Suriname's Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He
expressed confidence in the ability of the affected entities to
comply with expectations concerning the use of the Reportable Food
Registry.
