1. (SBU) Per reftel, Post conveyed to Vice President Ramdien
Sardjoe, head of Suriname's delegation to the UNGA,
Secretary Clinton's invitation to meet with leaders of the
Caribbean, on the margins of the UNGA.
2. (SBU) According to Juliette Redman, acting head of the
International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of the Government of Suriname (GOS),Vice President
Sardjoe will not be able to attend Secretary Clinton's
meeting with the Caribbean leaders because of a scheduling
conflict. Vice President Sardjoe is scheduled to deliver a
speech at the UNGA in the afternoon of September 25.
3. (SBU) GOS has not yet indicated whether it will propose an
alternate representative.
