1. (U) Post submits the accounting information for the USA EXPO
2009, held July 24-26, in Paramaribo.
Total BFYF FY 2009 funds allotted: $ 5,000
BFIF Fund cite: M9: 19 901130000-1005-9BF053-050500-2251-2589
Funds used for the USA Expo 2009 were as follows:
Venue rental $1,740.00
Decorations $ 136.75
Decoration company $ 785.71
Newspaper advertisement $ 887.00
Security $ 500.00
Overtime $ 477.00

Remaining funds $ 473.54
2. (U) Post did not use the entire $5000 originally requested due to
a new, more efficient breakdown of responsibilities with partner
organization the American Chamber of Commerce of Suriname. The
Chamber hired a new executive director in April who had prior
professional marketing experience, so Post took over the venue
rental and decoration costs and the Chamber covered the majority of
the promotion of the USA Expo 2009 (including, printing banners,
promotional material, and television and radio advertisement).
