(SBU) On November 3rd, Pol/Mil Officer delivered reftel
demarche to Mr. Der Kogda, Director of Multilateral Affairs
at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pol/Mil officer explained
that the U.S. continues to review Justice Goldstone's lengthy
report and that we serious concerns with the report's
unbalanced focus on Israel, its sweeping factual and legal
conclusions, and many of the recommendations. We urged the
GOBF to support the U.S. position, and asked that them to
vote against any resolution that would include
counterproductive elements. Kogda said he would share our
concerns with the Burkinabe Foreign Ministry as well as its
Mission in New York.
