On February 12, Post received a Diplomatic note from the GOBF
which constitute acceptance of the USG offer (Reftel) to
include Burkina Faso among the participants in TSCTP. Post's
unofficial translation of the letter follows:
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Cooperation of
Burkina Faso presents its compliments to the Embassy of the
United States of America in Ouagadougou, and in reference to
Note verbale number 093 of December 10, 2008, pertaining to
the decision to allow Burkina Faso to participate in the
Trans Sahel Counter Terrorism Program (TSCTP),has the honor
of informing by the present letter, the acceptance by the
Government of Burkina Faso of participation in the
aforementioned program. (Closing salutations)".
