(C) On April 13, Pol/Mil Officer delivered reftel demarche to Mr. Der Kogda, Director of Multilateral Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pol/Mil officer explained that the USG was seeking the support of Burkina Faso and of its UN Mission for a draft presidential statement (PRST) about the recent North Korean missile launch. ¶2. (C) Kogda said that Burkina Faso was currently working on defining its position and had taken note of the USG's request for support. He explained that Burkina was "registering" all positions and would then make its decision. When asked if he could share his thoughts on how Burkina might vote, he said that he was not free to elaborate any further. Kogda said he would share the information with the Burkinabe Foreign Ministry as well as with the Burkinabe Mission in New York. LAEUCHLI
