On November 12, Pol/Mil Officer delivered reftel demarche to
Mr. Der Kogda, Director of Multilateral Affairs at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Pol/Mil officer expressed our interest in three important
country-specific human rights resolutions coming up at the UN
on Iran, Burma, and DPRK. We explained that we would like AF
countries as well as other host governments to vote "no" on
the upcoming no-action votes on Iran and Burma and "yes" on
the substantive resolutions. Kogda said he would share our
concerns about the upcoming votes with the Burkinabe Foreign
Ministry as well as its Mission in New York.
