Kenneth Macartney of the Department of Foreign Affairs and
International Trade confirmed to PolMinCouns on October 3
that the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok would demarche the Royal
Thai Government on the extradition of Viktor Bout, as Embassy
had requested in a September 18 demarche to Assistant Deputy
Minister Yves Brodeur (reftels). He promised to share any
substantive response by the RTG.
