1. (C) Ingrid Schoyen, Assistant Director General of the
Mid-East Section of the MFA told poloff, in response to
reftel demarche, that Norway would, within this week, release
the 228 million kroner (approx $33 million) Norway pledged to
the Palestinian Authority at the Paris donors' conference.
Schoyen said that additional contributions to PA budget
support were not out of the question, and further
humanitarian assistance might also be forthcoming.
