Ruud and Senior Advisor Ambassador Kjell Harald Dalen told
PolOff December 16 that Norway was in "full agreement" with
reftel points on the Djibouti Peace Process (DPP). Dalen
emphasized that Norway is one of the most active supporters
of the DPP, adding that it "could be very destructive" if
initiatives to re-open the DPP succeeded. Ruud noted that
MFA Director for East and Central Africa Hans Jacob
Frydenlund, Advisor Elin Fadnes, and Political Affairs
Counselor Rena Kristmoen would be representing Norway at the
International Contact Group on Somalia discussion in Jeddah
on December 17.
