English) is as follows:
Dear Madame Secretary of State
It is with great pleasure that I received your letter of
congratulations that you so kindly sent me on the occasion of
my appointment as Mauritania's Minister of Foreign Affairs
and Cooperation.
I seize this opportunity to reiterate our strong commitment
to the democratic values with strong institutions in a
prosperous country, free of terrorism and where human rights
are also upheld.
I am very grateful of your show of support that you are
demonstrating in helping us combat terrorism and fulfill
those ideals.
I look forward working with you in strengthening the bonds of
partnerships and bilateral cooperation with the United States
of America.
