(U) Regarding reftel request, Post will not have a
definitive answer until after presidential elections in early
August but assumes Mauritania's newly elected Head of State
will want to attend. Post would like to propose a senior
level meeting but that request is contingent on the
acceptability of the elections. Post will follow up after
the election.
