(C) Per reftels, on June 29 Poloffs delivered ref points on UNSCR 1718 and 1874 to MFA North Korea Desk Officer, Sevag Avedissian. Avedissian stated that the GOC shares the international community's concerns over North Korea and plans to implement the financial and inspection-related measures called for in both resolutions. On June 30, Post followed-up with a discussion with Central Bank (CB) Senior Officer in the Bank Supervision and Regulation Division, Michalis Stylianou. Stylianou stated that the CB does not plan to circulate Ref B treasury advisory at this time. However, on July 1 the CB issued its own circular to all Cypriot financial institutions informing them of UNSCR 1874 and 1718. A copy of the circular has been forwarded to EUR/SE. Urbancic
