On February 20, Poloff delivered reftel points to Dionysus
Dionysiou, an attache in the MFA's Department of Middle East
and African Affairs. Dionysiou stated that Cypriot Foreign
Minister Markos Kyprianou would be representing the GOC at
the March 2 Sharm al-Sheikh donors conference for Palestinian
relief. The GOC is committed to giving humanitarian aid
through existing EU and UN mechanisms and reconstruction
assistance through the Danish International Development
Agency (DANIDA). Much of this aid has already been
disbursed, Dionysiou added.
