1. On the night of May 14-15, Minister of National Competitiveness
and Fight against the High Cost of Living Abdou Daouda died,
apparently of a massive heart attack, while on a road trip to Zinder
(historical capital of Niger located approximately 550 miles from
Niamey). His body was being sent back to Niamey today for immediate
burial. No further details are yet available.
