PAKISTAN
--------------

1. "PAKISTAN WILL NEVER GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK,"
editorial in the April 16 DAINIK JAGRAN: "Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh has firmly stated that the peace talks
cannot be resumed unless Pakistan stops allowing anti-
India terrorist activities on its soil and acts against
the perpetrators of the Mumbai assaults.... Pakistan is an
expert at lying and misleading the world, especially the
U.S. What can be more ridiculous than U.S. showering aid
on a country whose intelligence agency works for
terrorists! America must do something about the Zardari
government's surrender to the Taliban. The Taliban can
take control of Pakistan any time, and Pakistan's nuclear
weapons may also fall into their hands. For India, it's a
dangerous thought."

2. "WHERE ARE THE TALIBAN HEADED?" op-ed article in April
16 DAINIK JAGRAN by Bharat Dogra: "The Taliban's growing
aggressiveness in Afghanistan and Swat is worrisome. Even
more worrisome is America's attempt at dividing this
group of troublemakers into "good Taliban" and "bad
Taliban.... Pakistan itself is responsible for the
talibanisation of its northwestern areas. Now the Taliban
can consolidate power by joining hands with already
existing terrorist groups in Pakistan."

3. "PAK DECEIT," editorial in the April 9 Cuttack Oriya
SAMAJA. "If the Taliban is in a position to strike
anywhere in Pakistan it is because of America giving all
helps to the Pakistan government to fight terrorism... The
U.S. may keep on providing military aid but Pakistan will
not be able to stop either the Taliban or Al-Qaida. The
Obama Administration will have to accept the truth that
Pakistan is neither serious nor sincere in the war
against terrorism. A change in America's foreign policy
is on the cards to win diplomatic support of Asian
countries to launch decisive military action in
Afghanistan. Obama has decided to deploy more troops in
Kabul but the NATO allies seem to be in dilemma about
Afghan situation."

NORTH KOREA
--------------

4. "RESTRAIN NORTH KOREA," editorial in the April 8
Cuttack Oriya SAMAJA. "...North Korea's defiance poses an
open challenge while efforts are on for disarmament and
nuclear non-proliferation. Global pressure on Pyongyang
is justified. President Obama has taken the right
initiative to call an emergency UNSC meeting to discuss
this but that shows America's duplicity. It is serious
about North Korea but is not concerned about the nuclear

programs of Israel and Pakistan. While trying to
restrain North Korea, Obama may have to answer this."
