(SBU) External Affairs Minister Krishna, in a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Yu Myung-hwan in Delhi June 23, agreed that it was "important for the DPRK to return to the Six-Party Talks," according to a press release from the Ministry. Indian media characterized the statement as "a step forward" from Krishna's May 25 statement following North Korea's nuclear test. At that time, the Minister had said that "for the DPRK to conduct such a test in violation of its international commitments would be unfortunate," adding, "Like others in the international community, we are concerned about the adverse effect on peace and security in that region of such tests."
